Is a discussion on the Police Act an appropriate forum for people with a campaign to change the name of New Zealand to Aotearoa to act by adding Aotearoa to New Zealand throughout the site? I believe it is a distraction and could lead to people arguing for other things outside of the focus area of the Police Act, such as the naming of the Police Force, or the structure that can allow the Police Act to become law. This could also lead to racial bias in readers and writers, both Aotearoa and New Zealand mean the same thing. The term Aotearoa is becoming a global term, similar to how Holland is to The Netherlands. Either way it is put, they both mean the land we stand on together.
